Chakra 1 - The Root Chakra. It is located at the base of the spine and is associated with the color red. Complimentary gemstones include Red tiger's eye, flame agate, ruby, and garnet.

Chakra 2 - The Sacral Chakra. It is located between the lower abdomen and the navel. It's color is orange.

Carnelian, pietersite, fire agate, moonstone, and opal are a few of the gemstones associated with this Chakra.

Chakra 3 - The Solar Plexus. It is located between the sternum and the navel and is associated with the color yellow. It's gemstones include golden citrine, tiger's eye, amber, labradorite, and calcite.

Chakra 4 - The Heart Chakra. It is located at the heart and chest and is associated with the color green.

Aventurine, jade, plume agate, or rutilated quartz are a few of the gemstones for this Chakra.

Chakra 5 - The Throat Chakra. It is located at the base of the throat and is associated with the color blue.

It's gemstones include turquoise, pearl, carnelian, sodalite and aquamarine.

Chakra 6 - The Brow or Third Eye Chakra. It is located at the center of the forehead, above and between the eyes. It's gemstones include Amethyst, Azurite, Iolite, lapis Lazuli, sapphire.

Chakra 7 - The Crown Chakra. Located at the top of the head. Quartz crystal, topaz, alexandrite, danburite, and moldavite are the gemstones associated with this Chakra.

According to Katrina Raphael, author of The Crystalline Transmission, "Selenite is one of the predominant power stones of our time. Selenite serves a unique purpose in activating that aspect of our nature that is true 'spiritual feeling'.   "

In The Crystal Bible,  author Judy Hall states, "An Ancient stone, nevertheless one of the most powerful crystals for the new vibrations on earth."

 Attributes of Selenite include a very fine vibration that brings clarity of mind, opening the crown and higher chakras and accessing angelic consciousness and higher guidance. A good crystal for deep thought, meditation and spiritual work.  Selenite can be used to grid an area around a home,  creating a safe and quiet space that does not let outside influences in.  Selenite is capable of recording mystical secrets written on the rays of white light.  It can also be used in Crystal healings. This specialized crystal manifests perfect geometry with the six facets comprising termination alternating between triangles and seven sided faces. The Dow crystal is a combination of a channeling crystal and a transmitter crystal. The Dow crystal serves an even greater purpose than the combined effects of channeling and transmitting, which can be discovered when more attention is given to the numerological and geometrical significance. The faces comprising the termination of a Dow crystal are all seven sided or triangular. The number seven is symbolic of the ultimate inner truth that is attained when the seeker looks within the inner sanctums of self. All facets of one's being and life can be positively affected. Often mistaken as window crystals, the Time Link crystal will display a parallelogram where as the window crystal will exhibit a diamond shape window on it's surface. Time link crystals are like bridges that the soul can travel upon in order to consciously connect with aspects of the self existing in other times and places. It is a master crystal. Quartz, Amethyst are all around good for any area of the map.  Some areas also have other stones that correspond well to a particular area.  For example, known as a stone of gentle love, Rose and Lavender Quartz are  excellent in your relationship area.

Crystals have personalities that are distinguished by their form.  As an example, a double-terminated point, which is a crystal with points at either end, are outstanding communication tools, excellent for telepathic experiments, taking in energy at one point and shooting out the other.  Another example of a crystal personality  is the Window crystal, which has a diamond shape in the center of one of it's facets.  Window crystals can be used in meditation for windows into your own nature or essence, or any other window you would like to look into or out of.   For other forms and their meanings or personalities refer to Crystal Personalities, A quick reference to special forms of Quartz found in our book section

Your body has the answers to your questions. By using a pendulum, you are accessing your subconscious mind. There are many ways to use a pendulum. A good start is to begin by determining what each pendulum movement means to you. You can hold the pendulum over your inner wrist or over a pendulum board. Ask the pendulum to show you a "yes", then ask the pendulum to show you a "no". Every pendulum movement is possible. Example: front to back, right to left, right turn, left turn. When you have determined the movement of a clear YES and a clear NO, you are ready to ask your question. Once a person has chosen a pendulum it becomes a personal tool for them and at times to use for others.  Many people do not let other people touch or use their pendulums. . Many crystals are fragile. Crystals that are layered or clustered can separate. A few crystals never need cleansing. Citrine and Kyanite are a few that are self cleansing.  Clear quartz and Carnelian can cleanse other crystals, and are especially good for cleansing delicate stones, but they may need cleansing themselves afterward. Crystals such as Selenite can be water soluble. Tumbled stones are quite durable and can be kept together in a bag without scratching. Most other crystals should be kept apart. Crystals generally need to be cleansed upon acquiring them. But do not use commercial cleansers. There are a variety of ways to do this as described in Love is in the Earth a Kaliedscope of Crystals by Melody  and The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall.  It is best to find out if the type of crystal you have can be cleansed in these ways.

A few of the ways include:

Placing your crystals in Rock Salt for several hours and making sure no salt remains on the crystals.

Smudging your crystals with sage, sweet grass, cedar or incense.

Wash your crystal in the ocean sea water allowing the water to wash over it and energize in the sun.

Place the crystals on a purple energy plate for a few hours to overnight.

These are just a few of the many ways to cleanse them. One of the ways we at Crystal Energy Works cleanse our Crystals is with the use of the Purple Plate. We also will crystal charge water with one of our large generators by placing the crystal in a large pitcher of water for several hours in sunlight. Then we soak a clean tea towel in the charged water and bath our crystals with this cloth, and using another dry tea towel to gently dry them. We never put any chemicals on our crystals. You can dedicate your crystal when it is acquired by holding it while consciously "willing" that the crystal be used only in love, in light, and for the good of all. After this, you are ready to put your intentions within ( or programming) each crystal for the purpose of how it will be used. Making sure it is the right crystal for this purpose. There are also many methods of doing this, including holding the crystal considering the purpose of how you will use it. Be Specific. If you want to attract Love, describe exactly what kind of love you are looking for.  If you are seeking healing, say precisely what for which condition and what you want to have happen you can then say out loud," I program this crystal for (your purpose) ". Keep your crystal on you or where you can see it often and hold it 2-3 tines a day or more. You may need to repeat the programming a few times.
